AfriConnections: Contemporary African Art Comes to Tour & Taxis From 16 to 30 October, discover AfriConnections at Gare Maritime, Tour & Taxis, and explore the richness and diversity of contemporary African art. Admission is free. After travelling through Kinshasa, Abidjan, Yaoundé and Dakar, the AfriConnections travelling exhibition arrives in Brussels for its final stop, bringing together art, culture and new perspectives. Featuring works by fifteen contemporary African artists, the exhibition offers a glimpse into a vibrant and diverse artistic landscape. The artworks come from the collection of Ifitry, an artists’ residency near Essaouira, Morocco, and reflect the many voices, visions and creative expressions shaping contemporary African art today. Beyond the artistic experience, AfriConnections has a broader ambition: to encourage the circulation of African artworks across the continent, increase their visibility and help preserve a living artistic heritage.
