The Austrian rock band blending folk, pop and jazz into a rich and eclectic sound

"On its new album, Konstrukt 5, the local sextet stylistically ranges across the whole musical spectrum. This only rarely comes together coherently." Der Standard The sextet Buntspecht has a penchant for the in-between. Their dynamic music swings fromeuphoria to melancholy, from lightness to dark romanticism. The genres they draw on are aswide-ranging as their instrumentation. Here, identity seems to be something fluid. But as we all know, writing about music makes about as much sense as photographing a lavish buffet. You see with your ears, your mouth, your hands and your feet. In April 2027, Buntspecht will embark on their EINGANG / AUSGANG TOUR 2027. The tour will take the Vienna-based sextet through Germany, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria. Along for the ride: new music set to be released in 2027, marking the next step in a musical universe that consistently defies any clear-cut categorisation. Live, all of this becomes an immediate, physical experience: music to listen to, dance to, dream to and drift away with. An entrance, an exit–and everything Buntspecht make of the space in between Bunspecht - Probably Buntspecht - Im Fluss (Live @ Arena Open Air Wien 2025) Buntspecht Website Facebook Instagram Spotify Youtube
